I can't wait to welcome you!
Does any of this happen to you?
You can't let go.
Focusing so much on being perfect is blocking your joy. It’s too hard to let go and just enjoy.
You tense up.
Physical or mental roadblocks get in your way, and the negative thoughts are endless.
You want to connect.
It looks and sounds fine, but you know you can connect in a deeper way with your audience.
You're still afraid.
You’ve tried everything, but fear still prevents you from feeling free.
You are not alone!
If you’re like me, you feel called to share your art with others. You believe it helps make the world a better place—even just a little bit.
But it’s not always easy, right?
Discipline and relaxation. Fear and confidence. Focus and joy. How do we balance it all?
That’s where I come in.
Meet Your Guide
Hi, I’m Laura! I’m a musician wellness coach, and I help musicians embody their playing with joy and confidence.
I know what it’s like to battle performance anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt. I’ve been there—stressed, disconnected, and lacking confidence.
After 20 years as a piano professor, musician wellness advocate, and meditation instructor, I found a way to manage these challenges.
Now I help musicians like you do that too. Because your art belongs in the world.

Here’s How I Got There
Performing was always really difficult for me. I wanted to share my music with others, but anxiety and self-doubt seemed to take center stage each time.
I took up meditation on a whim to cope with personal stress, and it changed my life.
The first time I performed after meditating, it was an entirely new experience. I wish I could tell you I was less nervous. I wasn’t.
But I was more present. I wasn’t fixated on mistakes I had made or focused on getting to the end. I was hearing and feeling every note I was playing. My senses were more vivid than ever, and my focus was razor-sharp.
The best part?
This awareness was stronger than the fear.
Fueled by a deep desire to help other musicians, I left behind a 20-year career in academia to follow my heart and share this with others.
Man, was it hard. My mental roadblocks were back—big time.
I needed every ounce of courage and confidence I could muster. It seemed like I would never stop failing, until working with coaches taught me: It’s time to own the new you.
I know what it’s like when the road to sharing your gifts with the world is riddled with obstacles.
Let’s talk about how we can clear a path forward.

Express yourself joyfully onstage and feel great afterward
Be the artist you already know you are
This is an amazing gift to our community and a very special resource. I had a space to talk about how anxiety affects my music making, and Laura helped me with a new grounding practice. Thank you for sharing your compassion and leadership, Laura!
